Queso Dip

Don Pablo Copycat Recipe

1 can refried beans
1/2 pound (1 cup) butter
1/3 pound Sharp cheese or Velveeta, grated
2 jalapeno peppers, chopped  (remove seeds and ribs for less heat, if desired)
1 medium onion, grated
1 clove garlic, minced
corn chips, for serving

Mix all ingredients, adding desired amount of liquid from peppers. Heat in microwave or on stove top until cheese is melted. Serve with corn chips.

Notes: One (4 oz.) can of chopped green chilies and one (4 oz.) can taco sauce may be substituted for jalapeno peppers.
