El Charro Cafe Cocktail Recipes

SANGRIA

1 bottle red burgundy wine
1 1/2 bottle Presidente brandy
1/4 cup orange juice
1/4 cup cranberry juice

Garnishes
1 cup chopped apple
1 cup chopped orange segments
1 cup chopped cantaloupe

In a large container, combine the wine, brandy, and all the juices. Add the fruit just before serving. Makes 8 to 10 cups.

BLACK CHERRY MARGARITA

1 1/4 ounces Cuevo Gold tequila
1/4 ounce cherry schnapps
1/2 ounce lime juice
2 ounces sweet and sour mix
2 ounces orange juice
fresh lime wedge, for garnish

In a cocktail glass put the tequila, schnapps, lime juice, sour mix, and orange juice. Shake and strain. Garnish with a fresh lime wedge.  Makes 1 pint glass serving.

SONORAN MARGARITA

1 1/4 ounce Cuervo Anejo tequila
1/4 ounce Grand Marnier
1/2 ounce lime juice
1 1/2 ounces sweet and sour mix
fresh lime wedge, for garnish

In a cocktail glass put the tequila, Grand Marnier, lime juice, and sour mix. Shake and strain. Garnish with a fresh lime wedge.

HOUSE MARGARITA

1/2 part Cuervo Gold
1/2 part Cuervo Silver
2 parts Cuervo Margarita Mix
splash Triple Sec
squeeze of lime juice
splash of orange juice
lime wedge

Combine the tequilas, Triple Sec, Margarita Mix and lime and orange juices. Serve over ice cubes in a salt rimmed Margarita glass. Add a lime wedge.

RASPBERRY MARGARITA

1 1/2 ounces Cuervo Gold Tequila
1/2 ounce Triple Sec
2 ounces sweet and sour mix

Mix all the ingredients together in a glass and blend with ice.

MANGO BANGO MARGARITA

1 1/4 ounces Cuervo Tradicional tequila
3/4 ounce creme de banana liqueur
1 1/2 ounces sweet and sour mix
mango juice
fruit and whipped cream for garnish

In a shaker combine the tequila, creme de banana, and sour mix. Fill the shaker with mango juice and garnish with fruit and whipped cream.

DA BA DA BING MARGARITA

1 1/4 ounces Cuervo 1800 Reposado tequila
3/4 ounce Amaretto
1/2 ounce Triple Sec
1/2 ounce orange juice
2 ounces sweet and sour mix
orange wedge and cherry, for garnish

Mix together the tequila, amaretto, triple sec, orange juice and sour mix. Serve on the rocks or frozen in a pint glass garnished with the orange wedge and cherry.

MENAGE a CUERVO MARGARITA

1/2 ounce Cuervo 1800 Reposado tequila
1/2 ounce Tradicional tequila
1/2 ounce Cuervo Gold tequila
lime juice
splash of orange juice
lime wedge

Mix together the tequilas, lime juice, and orange juice. Serve on the rocks or frozen in a pint glass with a lime wedge for garnish.

RASPBERRY JOSE MARGARITA

12 ounces frozen margarita
1/4 shot plus 1/4 shot raspberry liqueur

Pour in a small amount of the frozen margarita into the bottom of a glass. Then pour in 1/4 shot glass of the raspberry liqueur. Next slowly pour in more frozen margarita and the remaining 1/4 shot glass of the raspberry liqueur. Then pour in the rest of the frozen margarita, and top it off with a float of the raspberry liqueur.

APPLE RITA

1 1/4 ounces Cuervo Tradicional tequila
1 ounce Apple Pucker
2-3 ounces sweet and sour mix
Sprite or 7-Up
lime wedge, for garnish

Mix in a glass the tequila, Apple Pucker, and sour mix. Fill with the Sprite. Serve on the rocks, or frozen in a pint glass with a lime wedge for garnish.

PRICKLY PEAR RITA

1 1/4 ounces Cuervo Tradicional tequila
1/2 ounce triple sec
1/2 ounce lime juice
1/4 ounce grenadine
3/4 ounce prickly pear juice
1 1/2 ounces sweet and sour mix
ice
lime wedge, for garnish

Mix in a glass the tequila, triple sec, lime juice, grenadine, prickly pear juice, and sour mix. Blend with the ice. Serve on the rocks, or frozen in a pint glass with a lime wedge for garnish.

CHARRO COOL-AID

1 1/4 ounces Cuervo 1800 Reposado tequila
1/2 ounce melon liqueur
1 1/2 ounces peach schnapps
cranberry juice
fruit, for garnish

Mix in a glass the tequila and melon liqueur evenly with the peach schnapps. Fill the rest of the glass with the cranberry juice. Serve of the rocks, or frozen in a pint glass with the fruit for garnish.
